But the laws have since been changed, allowing her to be the first female ruler of the country which excites her, but leaves her feeling overwhelmed. As I mentioned before, the castles have since been deconstructed, and the country is in distress. Eadlyn opposes this as she is quite stubborn and believes that she is not quite ready for love or marriage. The Selection is meant to last three months. As a publicity stunt, there is a parade through the city, but it is cut short by the disgruntled population throwing food and insulting her. As the story progresses, we see the elimination of some of the suitors and the relationship development with other key characters.

Friends, editors, and experts can help you find new and interesting books. I have always found myself pulled into the fantasy, mystery and adventure sections, mostly because of their strong willed female characters. Regardless, characters like America, Celeste and even Queen have drawn me in, with their strong iron-like personalities. I must say though, for my first romance book it certainly was worth it. I loved how the world building was done, especially the numbering system and the tensions with the Northerners and Southerners. Books like this have ideas geared outside the box these are the types of books that change the writing scene, creating new ideas and shedding light to different perspectives.
