He was speaking at the launching ceremony of books carrying translation of poems of Allama Muhammad Iqbal into eight different languages including Punjabi, Sindhi, Pashto, Balochi, Hindko, Brahvi, Seriaki and Balti. While compilation of Iqbal dictionary for understanding his poetry can be instrumental for educating youth about his messages. He imbibed and assimilated all that was best in the past and present Islamic and Oriental thought and culture. His works, not only in Urdu but also in Persian and English, was powerful.
He is called the "Spiritual Father of Pakistan. Iqbal is admired as a prominent poet by Indians , Pakistanis , Bangladeshis , Iranians and other international scholars of literature. The Pakistan government officially named him " National Poet of Pakistan". Iqbal's house is still located in Sialkot and is recognized as Iqbal's Manzil and is open for visitors. His other house where he lived most of his life and died is in Lahore, named as Javed Manzil.
