When Pitch, the boogeyman, decides that children should believe in him and not the Guardians, he adds a little fear to their dreams, turning them into nightmares. If children around the world are afraid, there will be no more room for hope. The Guardians must band together to stop him. But in order to do so they need a little help from an unlikely source: Jack Frost. Jack loves to have fun, but he’s not usually one for heroics. Will Jack find the hero within him before Pitch can carry out his master plan?
Join Jack Frost and the entire gang of Guardians—North, Bunnymund, Tooth, and Sandman—as they band together to vanquish the boogeyman and his nightmarish threats and to preserve the very spirit of childhood. This junior novelization includes eight pages of color images from the movie.
At the beginning, Jamie has never heard of Jack Frost till then, nor does he believe in him. However, this doesn't stop Jack from giving him an amazing snow day! Earlier on, the twins, Caleb and Claude, both tease him for his belief in the Easter Bunny. This possibly hints that Jamie has a rare belief that kids his age didn't have. The Easter Bunny? The Tooth Fairy! I knew you'd come!
A lot of people think that Jack Frost stopped aging at seventeen, but I disagree. Jack looks fourteen. Maybe it's the fact that he has a deep voice? I can't find any solid discussions about this. This also the case with Jamie. In the movie script, it saids that Jamie is 8 but on the Artwork book it saids he's

Jamie has unkept brown hair and brown eyes. He has a round and youthful face, and an obvious missing a tooth due to the sledding incident with Jack Frost. He is also interested in Bigfoot and aliens. He is quirky and definitely not the perfect kid. He's an open-souled boy, smaller than the other kids his age [ten years old] and when we meet him, he has just lost his tooth, which becomes a plot point later on. Jamie first appeared when Jack returned to Burgess to give it a snow day. Jamie is seen reading a book until the wind blows it away.
