Posh beans on toast
Best Baked Bean Bruschetta was described as a "signature dish" of one of Oliver's trainees and was served with olive oil, cherry tomatoes, red chillies and parmesan on ciabatta. Baked beans have got absolutely no place in any restaurant with integrity," he said. Am I going to do it? Of course I am. What I didn't realise was that Heinz's marketing department was also working on it and next thing I know we've got giant baked beans running across the restaurant and paparazzi outside shouting Oliver's a wanker! It was quite surreal.

This sounds great, I like the garlic and lemon with the fava beans. I will have to try this. This "posh" recipe looks just homey enough for me to dive right on in ; I've never actually had beans on toast before, but this certainly looks delicious! Much healthier than the classic : Americans don't really do "beans on toast" and I thought it was so weird when I heard about it-- but this actually looks delicious. More like bruschetta :. This will be a great appetizer! I've had lots of things on toast, like creamed corn or creamed mushrooms, but never beans.
Written by husband… Ben. A foodie, coffee obsessed, ex-smoking, ex-drinking and Ridgeback loving Dad. Who is also seriously into his fitness. You can find him on the blog most Sundays. I am a huge Jamie Oliver fan. Aside from the fact that he uses every ingredient in the store cupboard for some recipes his meals are practical, tasty and pretty much always work. I also added a little touch of my own by which I mean bacon but I think it complements the dish.
