Small and Simple Things by Marjorie Pay Hinckley

Think about your particular assignment at this time in your life. It may be to get an education, it may be to rear children in righteousness, it may be to be a grandparent, it may be to care for and relieve the suffering of someone you love, it may be to do a job in the most excellent way possible, it may be to support someone who has a difficult assignment of their own. Our assignments are varied and they change from time to time Dont take them lightly. Give them your full heart and energy. Do them with enthusiasm. Do whatever you have to do this week with your whole heart and soul. To do less than this will leave you with an empty feeling. What a wise woman Marjorie Pay Hinckley was!

Small and Simple Things - Dallin H Oaks

Study helps: President Dallin H Oaks – Small and Simple Things

Kynda Harris Roberts was born in Vancouver, Washington. She attended Ricks College and Utah State University where she earned her master's degree in psychology. The smartest day of her life was June 17, when she was sealed to Eric Roberts in the Logan Temple. They are the parents of four children: two boys and two girls. Sister Roberts loves to travel, run, and attend her kids' activities. While growing up in the '80s, I was fascinated with Wonder Woman.

Dallin H. Oaks Apr. This activity is based on a cause-and-effect type of structure. The Activity: Create a handout for class members that contains a series of boxes connected by arrows that show a progression from the first box to the last box I lack the technical skills to incorporate one here, but I will work on it. There should be 2 or 3 such series on each handout. Make enough copies for each class member to have their own sheet. Discuss the talk, with an emphasis on the great benefits that come from the small and simple things we are asked to do in the gospel.

These metaphors include tree roots, a team of rowers, rope fibers, and dripping water. Members could read these metaphors and discuss what they teach about the power of doing small and simple things consistently. What are the small and simple things that bring the influence of the Holy Ghost into our lives? I was reminded of the power of small and simple things over time by something I saw on a morning walk. Here is the picture I took. The thick and strong concrete sidewalk is cracking.

  1. I love General Conference, the messages and feeling of the weekend, but it seems like it comes and goes too quickly.
