All about spelling level 1 by Marie RippelI am so pleased with this spelling curriculum. My son really struggles with spelling, and the Memoria Press program moved too quickly and included too many spelling patterns in one list. We went back to basics using AAS 1 and are both actually ENJOYING spelling. He really likes the multisensory approach, and I really like the way that review is built in if needed. He is actually mastering spelling rules and becoming a much more confident speller. It is definitely more parent intensive, but the lessons are scripted and it really is pick up and go. So, so happy with this program.
All About Spelling Level 3
All About Spelling takes the struggle out of spelling! Based on the Orton-Gillingham approach, this curriculum teaches encoding skills, spelling rules, and multisensory strategies to help students become proficient spellers. This mastery-based curriculum is also appropriate to use with students who have dyslexia. Students beginning the program should start with Level 1 unless they've worked with a phonogram-based program previously. The teacher's manual includes a "Preparing for Level 3" section that provides clear action steps to help you prepare, and includes a list of materials you'll need to acquire, what will be taught, and how to set up and use the program. This section is followed by step-by-step lesson plans.

All About Spelling Curriculum Review/Homeschool
This is a one-time purchase, and you will use the same kit for all seven levels of All About Spelling. It comes in two versions: Basic and Deluxe. Visit Spelling Interactive Kits for complete information. The Spelling Interactive Kit contains everything you need, including the physical letter tiles, but there are two additional items to consider. If you plan to teach mainly with the physical letter tiles, you'll need to purchase a 2' x 3' magnetic white board from a store such as Walmart of Staples.
All About Spelling was specifically designed for homeschoolers and tutors with scripted lessons that take the guesswork out of teaching. It has a bunch of helpful features great for one-on-one instruction. All About Spelling takes a multisensory approach so that the student can be successful in spelling regardless of his particular learning style. The program can be customized for each student, with daily review of concepts the individual needs to cover. The Interactive Kit components are used with all levels of the program but are NOT included in the Teacher Manuals or Student Material Packets so you will need to purchase one of them initially as you begin the program. For the teacher, the lessons are scripted for pick-up-and-go daily usage, with plenty of teaching tips built into the lesson right where you need them.
