Vices and virtues are something that every leader has to be mindful of, and lets be brutally honest in that everyone has his or her own. Helping others would be widely considered as an honest and morally just virtue. However noble the intentions may be, this can quickly become a vice by the person boasting about doing so, moving away from the virtue of modesty or selflessness. A supervisor may be steadfast in their mission of excellence from their subordinates. The virtue of steadfastness can quickly move into the vice of stubbornness. Demanding excellence could very well create a work environment that produces unattainable precision, and limits experimentation or innovation.
