The Dream of God: A Call to Return by Verna J. Dozier

-The Dream of God is a small masterpiece. . . . Her vision of the Bible is insightful and persuasive, her writing accessible and powerful.- -- Marcus Borg

-This contemporary prophet has touched lives and transformed hearts through her books and talks. Many centuries before Verna Dozier, there was Amos, from the country, speaking out in the market square against the corrupt practices of merchants who sell the righteous for silver and the needy for a pair of shoes. In this century we have Dozier, a black female, spreading Gods word in the nations capital, across the country, and outside its borders.- -- Washington Diocese

Again and again the Christian church has fallen away from the dream God has for it, a dream in which we are called to follow Jesus and not merely to worship him. Through adept storytelling and Bible study, Dozier reawakens our sense of calling and our desire for truth.

How to Hear God Speak in Your Dreams - Mark Virkler & Charity Kayembe

I love dreams. I love the contours of God's voice, the creativity He puts into His relationship with each of us.
Verna J. Dozier

4 Ways You Can Tell If Your Dream Is From God

Geometric shapes in your dreams have spiritual significance because each shape has specific meanings that God or his messengers, angels , may use as symbols in miraculous dream messages. God has designed all of his creation -- everything from human DNA to crystals — with shapes as building blocks. In your dreams, shapes such as circles, squares, or triangles may represent either your personal connections with them or the universal meanings of those shapes. Here's how to interpret the meanings of shapes that appear in your dreams:. Did an object of a specific shape play an important role in your dream? Perhaps you dreamed about a triangular block of cheese, for example, and wonder why. Did you see a pattern of the same shape showing up in different objects from your dream?

Meanings of shapes in sacred geometry and miraculous dreams

For many years the eyes of Abraham were on the circumstances that brought frustration to his life. However, God moved him to see beyond the limits of his physical eyes. When Abraham believed God, his spiritual eyes were opened to see what God wanted to do in his life. You should understand that dreams are not born when you have an abundance. Dreams are born when you are in the midst of scarcity, pain, loneliness, and it seems impossible to achieve anything. Maybe God said you would be prosperous, but presently all you have is debt?

It is a bottom-up, grass roots movement. God came as a Palestinian peasant named Jesus because God knows the way to change the world is from the inside out — one person, one heart at a time. The stories Jesus told, the people he healed, and the things he did were all about the Dream of God. Jesus shows us that God cares deeply about the pains and struggles of this world and that the least of us is greatly loved and valued by God. God wants to heal our hurts and anxieties, our selfishness and our greed so that we can be free to be who we were meant to be, joining God in healing the world around us. This is what the Kingdom of God is all about.

It is one thing to dream, but it is an entirely different thing to see your dream become a reality. Children have a way of dreaming big, and even in their daydreaming, they can create a world where they can be anyone they want to be. I remember as a child I had the wildest imaginations; I think it was because I did not have the best childhood so these imaginations would take me into a world where I was in control, in charge and safe. I dreamt of being a beauty queen, and in my dreams, I would always win, but as I grew up the realities of life stifled the chance of winning at anything. I know many of you can relate to my story because God created us with an imagination so he can give us the blueprint of our lives. The enemy of our soul knows that God will write his plans in our imagination, so he works tirelessly to ensure that we stop dreaming and believing God for a good future. He brings pressures, disappointments and even potential failures to deter us from the beautiful future God has planned for us.

  1. When Kenneth and Gloria started their journey of faith they had questions too—lots of them!
