How well is Val doing?
Val from Bake Off is great. - Val Stones, a retired headteacher from Doncaster, is definitely the best thing about this year's Great British Bake Off.
Val Stones unfortunately did not walk away with the title of Great British Bake Off winner last year, following a bakewell tart issue during pastry week. Candice Brown went on to win the series, however, it was Val who stole the hearts of the nation with her quirky ways — including whispering to her creations to ensure they baked correctly. And the former primary school headteacher from Somerset is still baking away, thanks to the immense following she received after her time on the hit BBC show — so what has Val been up to? The baker has also now set up her own website, where the GBBO star shares her own recipes and upcoming events.
