How does the RJS behaviour system work?
Our Golden Rules help children to understand how to behave in school. Every child starts their day on a positive note with a green card displayed in their pocket of the Class Chart. If they are still on Green by the end of the day, the child is awarded a Green certificate. Children who consistently do the right thing all year are rewarded at our Good to be Green award ceremony in the Summer term. The warning gives the child the opportunity to reflect, consider and review their behaviour. Sometimes, the thought of moving a child onto a Red Consequence Card is enough to encourage them to behave appropriately. Parents would be notified at the end of the day if a child has reached red.
The school behaviour system is made up of 4 parts and is known as Good to be Green. Fully green, half turned, yellow and red. In this blog you will be told how each part works and how you get to that card. Being fully green is the most wanted card status to have. The first part is staying fully green, here are some top tips on how to stay green! Be kind and polite at all times, whether to an adult, peer or even Mr.

Congratulations to all our 'Great to be Gold' winners so far. Who will be the next lucky winner? I t's 'Good to be Green' but it's also 'Great to be Gold'. This is the what all children in the school are aiming towards. What are the teachers looking for this week? Which school value is our focus? Children always wear their 'Great to be Gold' sticker with pride and look forward to Gold Card Club on a Friday lunchtime.
